Job summary

Hawk 3 in Newport is seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join a professional construction team. You will work alongside experienced QS and PMs, gaining exposure to cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting.

The role supports developing technical and commercial knowledge with potential for RICS accreditation. 37 hours per week, permanent contract, salary up to £36,581 per annum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management or related discipline.
• Understanding of Quantity Surveying principles and construction costs.
• Interest in procurement and contract administration and pursuing RICS accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost estimates, budgets and cashflow forecasts.
• Maintain project cost plans, financial records and cost reporting.
• Assist with measuring construction works and procurement activities.
• Support contract administration and supplier/contractor communications.
• Prepare and maintain contract documentation and financial reports.
• Monitor expenditure against budgets and assist with final accounts.
