Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Construction Consultant/Project Manager to join the Advisory and Programme Delivery unit. You will provide project management support, construction planning, and constructability input across major infrastructure schemes in the UK.

You’ll lead complex projects, ensure alignment of timelines, risks and resources, and help mature projects from design through delivery. Ideal candidates have a degree in engineering or project management and professional

Qualifications

• A degree or similar qualification in engineering or project management subject
• A relevant professional qualification with the APM, PMI or RICS
• Membership of the APM
• Chartered (or working towards chartership) with a relevant chartered body eg. APM (ChPP), CIWEM, ICE, CIOB, RICS
• Proven track record of delivery of projects in the construction industry in regulatory environments
• Strong financial awareness, commercial acumen and analytical skills
• Good leadership and people management skills and an ability to build and develop high performing teams
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond rapidly to unexpected events, and an ability to develop creative solutions to problems

Responsibilities

• Provide project management support and construction planning input across multiple sectors
• Holistically manage and plan project delivery and design development with constructability/buildability inputs
• Develop construction related data and schedules for early-stage planning and compliance
• Lead and manage complex projects or portfolios on major infrastructure schemes
• Drive project maturity and ensure timelines, risks and resources are aligned
• Provide leadership to project teams and protect commercial and delivery interests
