Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a senior project programme and delivery professional to lead complex, high‑risk projects across the built environment. You will manage risk, ensure commercial performance and report to stakeholders while guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires a degree in engineering or project management, professional qualifications (APM/Prince2) and chartered membership or active progression toward chartership.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or project management.
• APM or Prince 2 qualification.
• Full Membership or working towards full membership of a relevant chartered body; MAPM, MCIWEM, MICE etc.
• Ideally chartered or working towards chartership (ChPP).
• Substantial project management experience on high risk/high complexity/high value projects and programmes with stakeholder and risk management focus.
• Expenditure and change control governance responsibilities on projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage project risk and opportunities and mitigate where possible.
• Be accountable for commercial objectives and ensure timely, quality reporting.
• Deliver complex technical projects within a regulated environment.
• Maintain strong client and programme team communications.
• Lead the project programme with multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Ensure efficient close out of projects.
• Control internal and external commercial aspects across multiple contract types.
