Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead a diverse portfolio within its Capital Projects and Development Team. Based at Shire Hall, Warwick, you will drive projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence and quality across education and corporate facilities.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience managing complex construction projects.
• Experience delivering capital projects in education.
• Strong knowledge of procurement methods and development processes.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors, budgets and contracts.
• Excellent commercial awareness balancing quality, cost and programme.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management at all levels.
• Excellent organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead a varied portfolio of large and complex construction projects from inception to completion.
• Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle: feasibility, procurement, consultant appointment, contract management and budget control.
• Develop procurement strategies and ensure projects are delivered safely, sustainably and to high standards.
• Collaborate with internal clients, elected members, consultants and contractors to deliver outcomes for Warwickshire communities.
