Job summary

Warwickshire County Council is seeking a Capital Project Delivery Manager to lead a team of four Construction Project Managers and oversee a diverse portfolio of high-value education and corporate construction projects. You will drive delivery within the £50 million+ capital programme, ensuring timeliness, budget discipline and quality across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Construction-related degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering major construction and capital projects, including programmes and individual projects valued in excess of £1 million.
• Significant experience delivering projects within the education sector.
• Strong understanding of design development, construction delivery, procurement routes and the full project lifecycle.
• Demonstrable experience managing client-side project managers, external consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• At least five years' experience managing and developing people and teams.
• Sound knowledge of construction compliance, relevant legislation and public sector procurement practices.
• Strong commercial and financial management skills, including responsibility for significant project budgets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across a wide range of internal and external partners.
• A proactive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to manage risk, overcome complex challenges and maintain delivery momentum.
• Strong leadership capabilities with a commitment to developing a positive, collaborative and high-performing team culture.
