Job summary

CHAP Group in Scotland is seeking an Operations Manager to take ownership of live construction projects from inception through to completion, working with site teams, engineers and the commercial function.

Reporting to the Construction Director, you will oversee delivery across multiple projects, drive health and safety performance, manage programme and cost control, and develop our site teams. This role offers a clear route into senior leadership as part of our succession planning.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in construction operations or senior site management.
• Proven track record delivering projects safely, on time and to budget.
• Experience across multiple construction methods and project types.
• Strong knowledge of CDM regulations and quality assurance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple live projects from inception to completion.
• Lead and develop site management teams and supply chain.
• Drive health and safety performance across sites.
• Collaborate with commercial on programme, procurement and cost control.
• Ensure quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Contribute to pre-construction and tender input when needed.
