CHAP Group Limited seeks a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to lead construction and maintenance projects in our Dundee office. You will plan, programme, allocate resources, manage budgets, coordinate stakeholders and uphold the highest Health & Safety standards to deliver defect-free handovers.

You will manage tender-to-construction programmes, supervise subcontractors, supervise site inspections, and work with the Commercial team to ensure profitability and accurate reporting.

Qualifikationen

• CSCS Card is essential.
• Driver’s licence is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, persuade, guide, manage and motivate others.
• Experience in construction industry and in roles such as Contracts Manager/Project Manager/Senior Site Manager.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
• Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Minimum 2 years’ management experience including strategic planning and directing projects.

CHAP Group Limited are looking for a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to join our busy Dundee Office. In this role, you will lead the successful delivery of construction and maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time and within budget. You will be responsible for project planning, programme management, resource allocation, budget control, stakeholder coordination and maintaining the highest Health & Safety standards through to defect-free project completion and handover.

Main Tasks

• Overall project management of assigned project/s including programme progress, cost control, direct labour management and management of subcontractors.
  
• Project programming - to take tender programme and develop into a construction programme by studying project specifications to determine appropriate construction methods and carry out weekly drop lines to review Progress V Planned.
  
• Ensure compliance with IMS and quality management systems. Develop and implement quality control programmes, proactively managing inspection workflow.
• Oversee / undertake site inspections on a daily basis to ensure progress is recorded as well as ensuring H&S issues are picked up and alerted to your team / sub contractors.
• Oversee and implement monitoring of compliance with building and safety codes and other regulations.
• Liaise with public utilities, local authorities and NHBC (where applicable) to ensure relevant orders are placed and consultation takes place to meet the project programme.
• Ensure statutory notices, warning notices and advisory notices, fire escape signs and relevant posters are displayed in workplace and are adhered to accordingly.
  
• Initiate & monitor site requisitions for supplies, materials and plant to ensure these are correct.
• Attend project pre-start, progress, technical and other meetings as required on a project-by-project basis.
• Work ‘shoulder to shoulder’ with CHAP’s Commercial team to ensure all works are profitable, support EDF reviews and work with QS on monthly reporting to ensure factual information is provided.
• Manage project conclusion including completion of operation and maintenance information, addressing defects, archive records and performance reviews.
  

Qualifications & Competencies

Essential

• CSCS Card.
• Driver’s licence.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence, persuade, guide, manage and motivate others.
• In-depth previous experience within the construction industry.
• In-depth experience within a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, Senior Site Manager or similar role within the construction sector.
• Excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
• Computer Literacy – including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
• Minimum 2 years’ management experience including strategic planning and directing of projects.

Desirable

• SMSTS.
• CSCS Manager’s card.
• Bachelor’s degree related to construction or engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Management qualification NVQ/SVQ level 5, or above, is desirable (holds or currently undertaking or willing to achieve in a timely manner).
• First Aid at Work, 3-day course or equivalent.
• Risk Assessment & Method Statement qualification.
• Temporary Works Co-ordinator.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practice.
• Proven experience of developing innovative ideas to develop and retain employees.
• A strategic thinker able to deal with operational issues, opportunities and obstacles.
