Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead co-ordination, dry lining, blockwork and fit-out of utility areas on a major interiors project worth £250m. You will chair meetings and coordinate with design teams and the supply chain.

This on-site role in the Cambridge area offers a day rate of £320-£380, with a temporary-to-permanent option for the right candidate. Tech-savvy applicants with knowledge of commercial fit-out are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• SMSTS certification required.
• CSCS card required.
• First Aid training preferred.
• Understanding of commercial fit out processes.

Responsibilities

• Attending and contributing in contractor prestart meetings.
• Attending and contributing in design team meetings.
• Chairing weekly sub-contractor progress meetings, taking and issuing meeting minutes.
• Attending safe starts.
• Approving RAMS.
• Attending DABS and coordinating with other trades, issuing reports as needed.
• Identifying potential problems and offering buildability solutions.
• Engaging with the supply chain and project team.

This morning one of my clients called and told me he needs a Senior Construction Manager that can start very quickly, they do not have the resource internally to fill the Construction Manager requirements that are needed.

The client is an industry leader in the interiors world and having the opportunity to work for them doesn't come too often so this is a good opportunity.

They're looking for a Senior Construction Manager to have the ability to take control of co-ordination, dry lining, blockwork, and the fit out of utility areas. This is a major project and is worth £250m.

Responsibilities for the Construction Manager

• Attending and contributing in contractor prestart meetings.
• Attending and contributing in design team meetings.
• Chairing weekly sub-contractor progress meetings, taking and issuing meeting minutes.
• Attending safe starts.
• Approving RAMS.
• Attending DABS and contributing to the meeting, discussing coordination with other trades. If necessary taking the meeting, issuing the DABS report to all other team members.
• Identifying potential problems, offering buildability solutions.
• Someone who is tech savvy.
• Someone who can engage with the supply chain and other team member
