Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to lead coordination, dry lining, blockwork, and the fit-out of utility areas on a major interiors project valued at £250m. The successful candidate will take control on site and work with a supporting site team.

The role requires SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications, plus knowledge of commercial fit out. You will attend design and contractor meetings, drive safety, and coordinate with the supply chain to deliver on time.

Qualifications

• SMSTS certification is required.
• CSCS card is required.
• First Aid qualifications are required.
• Knowledge of commercial fit out processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Attend and contribute in contractor prestart meetings.
• Attend and contribute in design team meetings.
• Chair weekly sub-contractor progress meetings; take and issue minutes.
• Attend safe starts and ensure compliance on site.
• Approve RAMS documents.
• Attend DABs and coordinate with other trades; share reports as needed.
• Enforce health and safety on site.
• Identify potential problems and propose buildability solutions.
• Engage with suppliers and project team effectively.

This morning one of my clients called and told me he needs a Senior Construction Manager that can start very quickly, they do not have the resource internally to fill the Construction Manager requirements that are needed.

The client is an industry leader in the interiors world and having the opportunity to work for them doesn't come too often so this is a good opportunity.

They're looking for a Senior Construction Manager to have the ability to take control of co-ordination, dry lining, blockwork, and the fit out of utility areas. This is a major project and is worth £250m.

Requirements for Construction Manager

• SMSTS
• CSCS
• First Aid
• Knowledge of commercial fit out

Responsibilities for the Construction Manager

• Attending and contributing in contractor prestart meetings.
• Attending and contributing in design team meetings.
• Chairing weekly sub-contractor progress meetings, taking and issuing meeting minutes.
• Attending safe starts.
• Approving RAMS.
• Attending DABS and contributing to the meeting, discussing coordination with other trades. If necessary taking the meeting, issuing the DABS report to all other team members.
• Enforcing H&S on site.
• Identifying potential problems, offering buildability solutions.
• Someone who is tech savvy.
• Someone who can engage with the supply chain and other team member
