Job summary

Staff One in Doncaster is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to manage tenders from appraisal through to handover, collaborating with pre-construction, commercial, design and construction teams. You will build robust pricing, liaise with subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure competitive, viable bids for healthcare, education, residential and refurbishment projects.

The role requires a proactive, detail‑oriented estimator capable of delivering accurate quantities, using ConQuest

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an Estimator in construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and estimating practices.
• Experience independently managing tenders end‑to‑end.
• Capable of pricing across healthcare, education, residential, industrial & refurbishment sectors.
• Proficient with ConQuest Estimating software and take-off tools.

Responsibilities

• Carry out initial tender appraisal and pricing.
• Develop measurement and pricing strategies for each tender.
• Attend opportunity launch, mid-tender, settlement and handover meetings.
• Prepare supply chain enquiries with commercial and construction teams.
• Analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations for value and risk.
• Complete project CSA requirements and assist with PQQ submissions.
