Job summary

Neville Special Projects Limited is seeking a Senior Construction Estimator to lead cost estimation for new build and refurbishment projects across sectors, with values up to £15,000,000. The role involves pre-qualification, bid submissions, supplier engagement and risk mitigation.

You will work closely with Directors and the Preconstruction Manager, supporting junior team members and ensuring accurate, competitive tenders.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials and best practice.
• Experience pricing projects, including tenders and negotiations.
• Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Proven track record delivering competitive tenders.
• Taking-off experience.
• Relevant degree or equivalent (preferred).
• CSCS card holder or eligible.
• Full, clean UK driving licence.
• Willing to undergo security vetting (DBS/ BPSS) if required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for new build and refurbishment projects.
• Manage pre-qualification, quality and pre-bid submissions.
• Collaborate with bid team for competitive tender submissions.
• Conduct thorough cost analysis to ensure accuracy of estimates.
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes.
• Identify and assess risks with mitigation strategies.
• Maintain organised estimating documentation.
• Identify opportunities to add value throughout the project.
• Work with Directors and Preconstruction Manager to align objectives.
• Support junior members of the estimating and pre-construction team.
