Job summary

Target Staff Ltd in the North West is seeking a Senior Estimator with a proven track record to lead the estimating process from enquiry through to tender submission on fit-out and refurbishment projects ranging £10k to £5m. You will review drawings, prepare detailed costs, and negotiate with subcontractors while ensuring compliance with JCT and NEC contracts.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years in construction estimating, ideally with a main contractor.
• Experience pricing fit-out and refurbishment projects; healthcare/education exposure beneficial.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, costs, subcontract procurement and tendering.
• Experience with JCT and NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimating from enquiry through tender submission.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender docs for projects £10k–£5m.
• Review drawings/specifications to identify scope, risks and value engineering options.
• Obtain, assess and negotiate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Develop relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Work with pre-construction and delivery teams for smooth handover of tenders.
• Ensure estimates reflect project requirements and contractual arrangements, including JCT/NEC.
