Job summary

Chadwick Nott are delighted to partner with a leading international law firm to recruit a Supervising Associate for their Contentious Construction Disputes team in Bristol. The role targets solicitors with 3-6 years' PQE handling complex, high-value disputes on a global stage.

You will advise on litigation, arbitration, and adjudications, and work on NEC and FIDIC contracts alongside colleagues in real estate and non-contentious teams.

Qualifications

• 3-6 years’ PQE in construction disputes.
• Experience at a leading insurance and/or construction law firm.
• Strong working knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contracts.
• Familiarity with adjudication and TCC procedures.
• Exposure to ICC/LCIA arbitration rules and UCTA.
• Fire safety experience (desirable).
• Excellent academic background and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Advise on litigation, arbitration, and adjudications.
• Handle proceedings before the TCC and other dispute resolution forums.
• Work with NEC, FIDIC, and other standard form contracts.
• Collaborate with real estate and non-contentious construction teams.
• Advise on regulatory changes and professional risk issues.
• Support enforcement actions in foreign jurisdictions.
• Contribute to business development and marketing in Bristol.
