Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Component Repair Lead / Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) to provide technical leadership in repair design, verification and approval for service-run components across the civil engine portfolio.

You will assess damage and non-conformances, define robust repair strategies, and work with Design Engineers, Materials and Repair Technology to ensure airworthiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Aerospace Engineering or closely related field.
• Significant aero-engine industry experience in Repair Design or Component Repair.
• Strong knowledge of gas turbine components, materials, manufacturing and repair processes.
• Experience developing or assessing repair solutions with airworthiness and certification considerations.
• CV E experience or progression towards CVE accreditation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and technical assurance of repair solutions for Civil Aerospace components.
• Substantiate repair definitions, assess damage and determine feasible repair limits.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure engineering, design, material and certification requirements are met and recorded.
• Define validation and verification requirements for repair methods and demonstrate equivalence when changes occur.
• Collaborate across the global MRO network with Design Engineering, Product Definition and suppliers to identify repair opportunities.
