Rolls-Royce is seeking a Component Repair Lead / Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) to provide technical leadership in repair design and verification across service-run components. You will assess damage, define robust repair solutions, and ensure airworthiness requirements are met within a global MRO network.
This senior technical role emphasizes engineering decisions, collaboration with Design, Materials and Supplier teams, and potential progression toward CVE accreditation.
As a Component Repair Lead / Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) - Repair Design, you will provide technical leadership in the development, verification and approval of repair solutions for service-run components across the Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace engine portfolio. Working within our MRO Component Repair organisation, you will be part of an experienced engineering team supporting repair activity across our global network. You will assess component damage and non-conformance, determine whether components can be safely returned to service, and define technically robust repair solutions that meet engineering and airworthiness requirements. This is a senior technical role rather than a people-management position. You will use your repair design and aero-engine experience to make engineering decisions, lead technical solutions and provide guidance on complex component repair challenges. You will work closely with Design Engineers, Product Definers, Materials and Repair Technology specialists, MRO teams and repair suppliers to ensure solutions maintain the required form, fit, function and integrity of the product. You will also operate as, or work towards accreditation as, a Compliance Verification Engineer, providing independent verification of repair definitions, Technical Variances and associated technical documentation.
You will bring a lifecycle-cost mindset to repair engineering, balancing technical integrity, product safety, repair capability, cost and customer requirements to develop solutions that improve the competitive and commercial performance of Rolls-Royce and our customers. This position offers the opportunity to combine deep engineering expertise with practical exposure to component repair and MRO operations. You will regularly engage with service-run hardware and repair facilities, gaining direct insight into component condition, repair technologies and the challenges faced in returning critical engine components safely to service.
