Qualifications

• 5+ years in compliance, regulatory affairs, or legal roles in fintech, payments, or banking.
• Knowledge of FCA Handbook and PSD2.

Job description

My client requires a Senior Compliance Specialist for an initial 12 month contract to support their compliance program with a specific focus on requirements under FCA and PSRs.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with various teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
• Develop compliance strategy and prioritize areas according to legal requirements.
• Provide compliance advice for new financial services products.
• Manage compliance aspects for FCA, including governance and policy updates.
• Ensure compliant growth of international business areas within EMEA.
• Assist with EU regulatory initiatives like PSD2, GDPR, and SEPA.

Required skills:

• 5+ years in compliance, regulatory affairs, or legal roles in fintech, payments, or banking.
• Knowledge of UK financial regulations, including FCA Handbook and PSD2.
• Experience with FCA compliance expectations and audits.
• Proficiency in compliance frameworks and risk management.

This is not an AML / Financial Crime role.

Location: London (hybrid)

Start: ASAP

Duration: 12 month initial
