We are seeking an exceptional Senior Compliance Specialist to join our team. You will collaborate closely with all areas of our business to provide compliance advice, support new product development, work on projects, execute compliance processes, and undertake monitoring and testing. Our key objective is to ensure the business operates in compliance with regulations while achieving positive outcomes for clients. As a young, growing company, our Compliance team covers a wide range of business and technical regulatory topics in a fast-paced environment.

You will:

1. Provide advice to the business on BAU issues and in the context of new product lines and services.
2. Take a leading role in priority business and compliance projects, providing regulatory direction, insight, context, and challenge.
3. Lead compliance monitoring and testing exercises to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to company policies.
4. Provide training on regulatory issues across all business areas.
5. Collaborate with colleagues to prepare for and respond to regulatory changes and engagements.
6. Execute ongoing compliance processes and controls.
7. Provide guidance and oversight to junior colleagues in the UK, Sweden, and Hungary as part of the Global Compliance function.

About you:

1. Excellent knowledge of UK financial services regulations and familiarity with a range of financial products, including retail investment products.
2. Experience working in or with UK retail financial services regulated firms, ideally with retail broking or wealth management experience.
3. Quick learner with strong analytical skills, capable of making impactful contributions rapidly.
4. Understanding of the Consumer Duty and regulator’s expectations, with some direct engagement experience.
5. Experience managing individuals or leading projects.
6. Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Ability to build relationships and influence colleagues.
8. 4-7 years of experience at a retail investment firm, bank, regulator, or consultancy with a regulatory/compliance focus.
