Ipswich Borough Council is seeking a Principal Manager (Maintenance) to lead a safety and compliance across council homes. You will head a dedicated team, ensuring compliance with the regulatory standards to keep tenants safe at all times.

The role focuses on the landlord's big 9 safety items, overseeing continuous improvement and ensuring delivery of high housing standards within a £25m maintenance budget. An opportunity to shape front-line service delivery.

Qualifikationen

• Significant management experience in a frontline housing/maintenance environment.
• Degree qualification and/or membership of a relevant professional organisation.
• Experience of managing staff and budgets.
• Experience of regulatory requirements for safe homes.
• Experience in business planning, change management and continuous improvement.
• Experience and/or qualifications in Health & Safety.

Aufgaben

• Act as Principal Responsible Manager and lead Officer for council homes safety and compliance.
• Head up safety and compliance team ensuring regulatory standards and tenant safety.
• Oversee landlord's 'big 9' compliance items (Fire, Lifts, Emergency lighting, Alarm systems, Gas, Damp & Mould, Electrical, Asbestos, Water Safety).
• Monitor HHSRS stock condition surveys and ensure compliance with Awaab's Law and Decent Homes.
• Drive continuous improvement and performance in housing services.
