Job summary

Shaw healthcare is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to join our Compliance & Governance team. The role focuses on planning, conducting and following up on audits across Shaw healthcare services registered with CQC, CIW, the Care Inspectorate and Healthcare Improvement Scotland.

You will work with Service Managers and Head Office colleagues to ensure robust compliance oversight, identify risks and support services to deliver safe, high-quality care across the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience in a compliance, quality assurance, audit, governance or regulatory environment.
• Ability to plan and undertake thorough audits and inspections.
• Strong analytical and report-writing skills with the ability to identify risks and make clear recommendations.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage a varied caseload and competing priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to challenge constructively when required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and conduct compliance audits across Shaw healthcare's regulated services in line with an audit programme.
• Maintain oversight of a caseload of regulated services and ensure audits are completed with accurate records.
• Monitor risk levels, assess concerns and take appropriate action.
• Observe and report on the wellbeing of people using services and address safeguarding concerns.
• Produce clear audit reports and set actions with timescales for improvement.
• Follow up on audit actions, especially for services of concern.
• Collaborate with managers and teams to support improvements.
• Liaise with stakeholders across the organisation on compliance, quality improvement and development.
