Job summary

Saab UK, based in Fareham, is seeking a Senior Compliance Engineer to ensure that products meet international standards and directives. The role involves creating technical files, coordinating with labs and suppliers, and guiding design teams to achieve compliant solutions.

The successful candidate will monitor regulatory changes, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement of compliance processes. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Essential: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
• Experience with EN 61010 and EN 60204 safety standards.
• Familiarity with EMC directives (CE/FCC).
• Experience with environmental testing for CE LVD safety requirements.
• Understanding of mechanical principles of components/assemblies.
• Experience with electronic systems and PCB wiring.
• Ability to prioritise workload and deliver standard work.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product compliance to CE, UL, FCC, DNV, Norsok, IMCA, Lloyds Register directives.
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations.
• Monitor regulatory updates and their impact on products.
• Liaise with internal teams and external labs/notified bodies for testing and accreditation.
• Analyze test results to update verification plans and guide design teams.
• Report compliance status to stakeholders and auditors.
• Contribute to design reviews and product releases for standards accreditation.
• Participate in engineering change processes.
• Travel occasionally for business objectives.
