Job summary

Saab UK, based in Fareham, seeks an experienced Senior Compliance Engineer for its underwater robotics group. The role focuses on verifying that products meet CE, UL, FCC and industry standards, building technical files, and coordinating test activities with labs and notified bodies.

You will monitor regulatory updates, advise design teams, and support product releases with robust compliance assessments and continual process improvements. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Knowledge of EN 61010 and EN 60204 safety standards.
• Experience with EMC standards/directives for CE/FCC.
• Understanding of PCB/assemblies and mechanical principles.
• Self-starter, able to prioritise and deliver in a project environment.
• Strong communication with 3rd party labs and internal staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure product compliance to CE, UL and FCC and other standards.
• Create and maintain technical files and declarations.
• Monitor and report on new regulations and standards.
• Plan, co-ordinate and execute test accreditation activities.
• Guide design teams to deliver compliant products.
• Present product compliance status to stakeholders and auditors.
• Contribute to design review and release of compliant products.
• Continual improvement of department processes and procedures.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Undertake other duties as required.
