Job summary

Griffin, a fully regulated UK bank powering fintech accounts and payments, seeks a hands-on compliance adviser. You will embed regulatory expertise across operations, product and sales, shaping how regulations translate into practical requirements.

This role collaborates with second-line risk and other teams to uphold governance and strong customer outcomes. We offer remote-first, UK-wide opportunities, with flexible work patterns and a focus on clarity, autonomy, and impact.

Qualifications

• Compliance experience in the first or second line of a UK regulated firm, ideally a bank, e-money institution or payments firm.
• Practical knowledge of the rules behind our products, like Consumer Duty, BCOBS, CASS, FISMA, the Payment Services Regulations and the Money Laundering Regulations.
• A hands on approach. Turn regulation into practical requirements for product, sales or operations teams, and interpret FCA rules.
• A curious, questioning approach. You know the right questions to ask before signing something off, not just the rules to check it against.
• The confidence to challenge, clearly and kindly, when something isn't right.
• A love of writing - contributing to a large amount of written documentation.

Responsibilities

• Turning regulation into clear requirements for product, sales or operations teams.
• Integrating regulatory requirements into day-to-day Service operations and procedures.
• Collaborating with Protect and second-line risk/compliance to ensure governance and outcomes.
• Investigating and reporting on compliance issues and risks across the business.
