Job summary

Hastings Direct is seeking a Complex Fraud Handler to manage a portfolio of challenging investigations, including organised fraud networks and high-value claims. You will use intelligence-led techniques to spot fraud patterns and mentor colleagues across the team.

You will contribute to fraud prevention by merging risk identification with new controls, while supporting litigation and evidence preparation when needed.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in handling complex fraud investigations within general insurance claims.
• Experience with organised fraud networks, linked claims and high-profile cases.
• Ability to analyse evidence across witnesses, documents and digital data.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex fraud investigations from referral to conclusion.
• Lead investigations involving organised fraud networks and high-value claims.
• Utilise intelligence and data analysis to identify fraud risks and supporting evidence.
• Develop robust fraud strategies supporting repudiation, litigation and recovery.
• Support fraud litigation including preparation of evidence and witness statements.
• Identify emerging fraud trends and share intelligence across the business.
