Job summary

Hastings Direct in the United Kingdom is seeking a Complex Fraud Handler to manage a portfolio of complex investigations, including high-value claims and organised fraud networks. You will apply intelligence-led techniques to identify fraud risks and provide guidance to the team, while developing fraud controls and contributing to prevention initiatives.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in handling complex fraud investigations within general insurance claims.
• Strong understanding of organised fraud, linked claims methodologies and fraud network investigations.
• Proven ability to identify inconsistencies across evidence, claims documentation, digital data and third party intelligence.
• Analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to identify fraud patterns and wider network risks.
• Experience with supporting litigation including trial preparation and evidential review.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of complex fraud investigations, including high-value cases and investigations involving organised fraud networks, linked entities, repeat offenders and suspected fraud rings.
• Utilise intelligence, data analysis, digital investigation techniques and industry intelligence to identify fraud risks and supporting evidence.
• Develop robust fraud strategies that support repudiation, litigation, recovery and disruption activities where appropriate.
• Support fraud litigation activity including preparation of evidence, witness statements and attendance at conferences, hearings and trials where required.
