Job summary

Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a Senior Support Worker to support Community Care Supervisors. The role is 37 hours per week with a flexible rota including some weekends, evenings and bank holidays, with enhancements paid.

Your duties include taking delegated responsibility to enable people to be supported at home with daily living activities, supporting a community care service with person-centred support, supervising staff to meet service initiatives and safeguarding standards,

Responsibilities

• Taking delegated responsibility to enable people to be supported at home with their daily living activities.
• Supporting a community care service providing person centred support and opportunities for people and their carers.
• Looking after a team of designated staff in order to meet the requirements of service initiatives and developments, including all legislative standards, e.g. CQC, Care Act.
• Assisting in managing the demand for care capacity and ensuring safe discharge and care provision.
• Working at maximising a person's independence to deliver their person-centred outcomes.
