Job summary

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust in London seeks a Senior Community Nurse to provide leadership on shift, manage caseloads, and support staff across the West Neighbourhood Team. Travel between sites with equipment is expected.

You will ensure evidence-based nursing practice, supervise staff, conduct annual appraisals, and maintain high standards of care while coordinating complex clinical situations in the community.

Qualifications

• Registered as an NMC adult nurse.
• Numeracy skills required for the safe administration of medicines.
• Evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
• Practice assessor and supervisor training.
• SPQ District Nursing or willingness to apply/ complete course.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the shift and allocate workload to team members.
• Manage active caseload and provide supervision to staff.
• Teach, demonstrate and supervise nursing care to patients.
• Ensure team practice is up to date and evidence-based.
• Apply infection control policies and universal precautions.
