Are you a creative storyteller? Do you like creating inspiring content across a range of platforms using different media? If so, we’re looking for a Senior Communications and Marketing Officer to plan and lead our communications and marketing for Munstead Wood. This is an exciting time to join a new National Trust project, with the opportunity to shape and develop the storytelling for this special place from the very beginning.
Salary: £17,620.20 per annum pro rated (£29,367 FTE)
Contract Duration: Fixed term until 31st October 2028
Working Pattern: You will work 22.5 hours per week, with a flexible working pattern. Your hours may vary depending on operational requirements, but evening/weekend work will be rare. Where this is required, time off in lieu will be provided.

Munstead Wood is an exciting recent acquisition for the National Trust. The personal home of garden designer and prolific content creator Gertrude Jekyll, it was designed in collaboration with Edwin Lutyens.
Based at the property in Godalming, you’ll be part of a small on‑property team looking after the day‑to‑day needs and running of the property, which is not currently open to the public. There is also an active project team working through the design and planning phase, developing detailed proposals and fundraising to support this work. As part of the on‑property team, you’ll develop and support communications around this exciting and evolving project. You will need to be able to work regularly on‑site.
You’ll create a dynamic communications plan for this evolving project, leading the development and delivery of original content to support its key messages and themes across a range of communication channels. You’ll bring fresh, creative ideas to life, telling the stories of this inspirational place of creativity in ways that connect with audiences around the world.
This is a dynamic and collaborative role, working with stakeholders from across the organisation and externally. You’ll bring together diverse expertise to create high‑quality content across multiple strands of activity, ensuring work is delivered efficiently and to a consistently high standard.
