Job summary

Metlen Energy & Metals seeks an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning for the EGL1 project within the Power Technologies department, Murton, UK. The role requires coordinating internal teams and external contractors to ensure technical integrity and client satisfaction.

You will oversee commissioning plans, procedures, risk assessments, and schedules while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and project delivery in a demanding site-based environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering required.
• 7+ years in managerial commissioning roles within energy, power, or industrial sectors.
• Experience with EPC projects, preferably in thermal power generation.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent command of English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of commissioning activities with technical integrity.
• Evaluate and resolve commissioning issues during project execution.
• Coordinate commissioning personnel and subcontractors.
• Develop and review commissioning procedures and schedules.
• Ensure safety, quality, and project delivery across the site.
