Job summary

Coventry Building Society is seeking a Head of Product Governance to lead product governance and risk for the Commercial directorate, ensuring strong governance, appropriate product risk framework, and oversight of customer outcomes across product ranges.

The role collaborates closely with senior leaders and external regulators, shaping strategy and operating models while embedding governance, controls and risk ownership across the Commercial function.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in product governance or product risk within financial services.
• Experience engaging regulators and senior stakeholders up to board level.
• Proven ability to shape governance frameworks and risk ownership.
• Strong analytical and communication skills with strategic impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead product governance and product risk for the Commercial directorate.
• Oversee product assurance frameworks and customer outcomes.
• Provide oversight, check, and challenge on regulatory reporting including Consumer Duty.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and external regulators to align strategy.
• Develop materials and framework for governance and customer forums.
