Job summary

Kenton Black Limited is seeking a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major nuclear infrastructure programme across UK sites. The role is hybrid and covers Suffolk, London, Bristol and Manchester, with contract values up to £200m.

You will manage commercial performance, change, risk, payments and final accounts on NEC and/or FIDIC contracts, coordinating with Project Managers, Finance and Project Controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in major infrastructure or construction projects.
• Proficiency with NEC and FIDIC contract types.
• Ability to manage high-value, complex supply chain contracts.
• Strong change and claims management skills.
• Excellent stakeholder and financial management.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial management across a portfolio of high-value contracts.
• Manage post-award and execution phase contracts.
• Support project teams with commercial decision-making and risk management.
• Oversee change management, payments and claims under NEC/FIDIC.
• Support management of supply chain packages above £10m.
• Oversee Early Warning process, ensuring deadlines and governance are met.
• Assist with resolution of contractual claims and disputes.
• Manage contract change and budget reporting and forecasting.
• Support final accounts close-out.
• Maintain strong commercial relationships with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure governance and delegated authorities are followed.
• Collaborate with Finance, Project Controls, Supply Chain and Programme Delivery for consistent reporting.
• Capture commercial lessons learned throughout the lifecycle.
• Support ESG requirements across the programme.
