Job summary

Kenton Black Limited is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial delivery on a major nuclear infrastructure programme across the UK. You will oversee high-value contracts, changes, and governance, partnering with Project Managers and Finance to optimise commercial outcomes.

Based in the UK with hybrid working from Suffolk, London, Bristol or Manchester, the role involves managing contracts up to £200m and overseeing supply-chain packages over £10m

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial management of major infrastructure or construction projects.
• Strong experience working with NEC contracts; FIDIC experience would be advantageous.
• Experience managing high-value and complex supply chain contracts.
• Strong knowledge of change management, compensation events, payments, claims and final accounts.
• Experience managing multiple contracts and stakeholders simultaneously.
• Excellent commercial, contractual and financial management skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a complex, multi-disciplinary project environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within highly regulated or major programme environments would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial management across a portfolio of high-value infrastructure contracts.
• Manage contracts during post-award and execution phases.
• Support project managers with commercial decision-making and risk management.
• Manage commercial aspects of NEC and/or FIDIC contracts, including change management, payments and claims.
• Support management of supply chain packages in excess of £10m.
• Oversee the Early Warning process and ensure governance requirements are met.
• Assist with the resolution of contractual claims and disputes.
• Manage contract change and ensure accurate budget reporting and forecasting.
• Support final accounts close-out and maintain strong contractor relationships.
• Ensure governance alignment with Integrated Management System and stakeholders.
