Job summary

UK Industrial Fusion Solutions Ltd (UKIFS), a subsidiary of UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA), is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead pre- and post-contract activities across complex construction and infrastructure projects. You will manage procurement, cost plans, and commercial risk, engaging with internal stakeholders and external partners to deliver value and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in commercial and/or procurement on construction, infrastructure engineering projects or similar.
• Proven ability to manage high-value, high-risk contracts across the project lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of standard forms of contract (e.g. NEC, bespoke construction contracts).
• Demonstrable expertise in cost forecasting, valuation, change control, and final accounts.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-contract and procurement activities including drafting, review and negotiation of complex contracts.
• Collaborate with technical, legal and sourcing teams to ensure terms reflect objectives and compliance.
• Manage cost plans, forecasts, and earned value metrics; provide guidance on commercial implications of design changes.
• Oversee contract administration, change control and final accounts; ensure value for money and regulatory compliance.
• Provide leadership and mentorship within the commercial team and represent UKIFS on contracts with partners.
