Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or senior leadership role.
• Experience in construction, civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities, rail, energy or nuclear sectors.
• Strong NEC contract knowledge and administration experience.
• Demonstrable experience managing large-scale project budgets and commercial performance.
• Experience leading commercial teams and developing junior staff.
• Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all commercial activities across major construction and infrastructure projects.
• Manage project budgets, cost forecasts and financial performance.
• Administer NEC contracts and associated contractual obligations.
• Provide commercial advice and support to project and operational teams.
• Oversee subcontract procurement, negotiation and contract management.
• Manage change control, compensation events, variations and claims.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks and maximise opportunities.
• Prepare and present commercial reports to senior leadership and clients.
• Ensure accurate cost capture, forecasting and project reporting.
• Lead project valuations, applications for payment and final account negotiations.
