Purpose

To take an active lead in driving the growth of the retail category, maximising opportunities for sustainable sales with profitable margins that deliver the company's objectives. Leading and managing growth and development within a defined customer base, ensuring accurate forecast management and a growth mindset to meet business goals.

This role focuses on the ‘business development and improvement’ of a strategic retail partner, contributing to the business through effective collaboration to achieve targets and objectives.

Due to the high-profile nature of this retailer account, the Senior Commercial Manager is expected to provide leadership and direction to junior team members, embodying our company values.

Your Responsibilities

  • P+L responsibility for a defined account or portfolio, driving business growth in line with objectives.
  • Creation and agreement of Customer Joint Business Plans.
  • Line management: mentoring and supporting team development.
  • Evaluating promotional performance and developing strategies to maximise effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with marketing to develop and implement customer plans, including in-store and online activation.
  • Communicating performance internally and externally, recommending actions to strengthen areas and address underperformance.
  • Providing regular feedback on account development to all relevant teams.
  • Managing each product category according to the business plan, with regular reviews and corrective actions.
  • Developing and implementing individual customer JBPs to build strong relationships and align with customer needs.
