Senior Commercial Manager – Grocery - Remote Contract
INTRO:
Henderson Brown is delighted to announce an exclusive partnership with a renowned UK Manufacturer. Our client has a legacy of providing high-quality products within FMCG made from the finest ingredients straight into UK retail.
OVERVIEW:
This role is going to be challenging as well as extremely rewarding. You'll be required to be the leading figure on a number of accounts with a category-leading brand and business.
They are an extremely professional operation with strong supply routes internationally and, specifically and importantly, the UK. They have strong future growth potential; therefore, this brand new role has been signed off as a consequence of this increased need and desire for growth.
The individual will need not only to be a first-rate commercial manager who understands brands but also someone who has the ability to push ahead with new customers and build new business.
As a result, they are being quite specific in whom they are looking for. First-class commercial management skills are taken as read, but they want energy, enthusiasm, and someone who is knowledgeable of the grocery sector. You should be able to deal not only with day-to-day account management issues with existing customers but also spot other opportunities with new customers and develop the strategy to engage with these further. You will have a history of sound judgment in this channel and be able to develop relationships quickly with potentially a new number of buyers, all with different requirements.
PERSON SPEC:
We are looking for someone who has extensive experience within FMCG, specifically grocery customers such as Tesco and JS. You should be able to learn and read the market fast, problem-solve at speed, think laterally, and make rational decisions quickly, communicating effectively with both internal and external stakeholders to push through business and bring results.
Authenticity will be at the core of this individual, coupled with an incredible desire to succeed and a genuine nature to support the overall development of their new employer as well as a future team.
