Job summary

Mace is recruiting a Senior Commercial Manager for its Mobility team, based on site in Immingham 2-3 days per week within the Ports Sector.

You will lead contract management, costs and client reporting while championing safety, sustainability and value engineering across projects. The role requires MRICS or working towards and a relevant degree, with hybrid working options available.

Qualifications

• Degree in quantity surveying or cost management is required.
• MRICS/RICS membership or actively working toward it.
• Experience in business development.
• Developed commercial and financial acumen.
• Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and related frameworks.
• Experience leading parts of large, diverse projects.
• Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Understanding of carbon and sustainability considerations in projects.

Our Mobility team is growing and we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager to join our team on a permanent basis within our Ports Sector. This opportunity will be based on site 2-3 days per week in Immingham.

You’ll Need To Have

• Degree in quantity surveying/cost management (or equivalent).
• Professional membership or working towards i.e. MRICS/RICS, or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
• Experience in business development.
• Developed commercial and financial acumen.
• Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law and contractual frameworks relating to construction.
• Experience leading parts of projects within large, diverse teams.
• Developing experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
