Qualifications

  • Experience delivering medium to large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies and governance.
  • Experience managing projects through the construction delivery phase.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness including budgeting, forecasting and cost management.
  • Knowledge of procurement and contract administration.
  • Demonstrable experience managing risk, programme and project controls.
  • Ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve outcomes.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a related discipline (PM/Construction/Engineering).
  • CSCS Card or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery from planning/design through construction and handover.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain project programmes, schedules, and delivery plans.
  • Monitor performance against milestones, budgets and quality.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks and issues.
  • Lead meetings and provide progress reporting and key decisions.
  • Oversee change control and governance.
  • Manage consultant and contractor appointments, fees and performance.
  • Champion safety, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure robust quality management processes are implemented.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting and fee management.
  • Promote innovation, digital delivery and best practice.

The opportunity:

As Project Manager, you will take a leading role in overseeing projects through design, procurement, construction, and handover. You'll work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality objectives.

You will be responsible for providing leadership across the project lifecycle, managing risks and opportunities, driving programme performance, and ensuring successful outcomes for all stakeholders.

This role is site-based, requiring attendance on-site four days per week, with one day of flexible/home working.
You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Managing project delivery from initial planning and design through construction and handover.
  • Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Developing and maintaining project programmes, schedules, and delivery plans.
  • Monitoring project performance against key milestones, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Identifying, managing and mitigating project risks and issues.
  • Managing project meetings and provide clear reporting on progress, performance, and key decisions.
  • Overseeing change control processes and ensure project governance requirements are met.
  • Managing consultant and contractor appointments, fees, deliverables, and performance.
  • Championing a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensuring robust quality management processes are implemented and maintained.
  • Supporting commercial management activities, including forecasting, budgeting, and fee management.
  • Promoting innovation, digital delivery, and best practice across the project team.
You’ll Need To Have
  • Proven experience in a Project Manager role delivering medium to large-scale construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and governance.
  • Experience managing projects through the construction delivery phase.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Demonstrable experience managing risk, programme, and project controls.
  • The ability to lead and motivate project teams to achieve successful outcomes.
  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS, MICE or equivalent professional membership.
  • Relevant construction or project management certifications.
  • CSCS Card or equivalent.
