Job summary

Whitestone Resourcing Limited is recruiting a Senior Commercial Manager for a major Facilities Management contract in the UK. You will lead the commercial function, maximise recovery, and govern complex contractual arrangements across a national estate.

The role requires extensive NEC contract management experience, leadership of a sizeable commercial team, and strong stakeholder negotiation skills to drive performance and governance across a high-volume operation.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial Manager role.
• Strong NEC3 or NEC4 contract management experience.
• FM or outsourced services experience, especially Hard FM or Total Facilities Management.
• Experience managing variations, compensation events, claims and contractual entitlement.
• Leadership experience with responsibility for commercial teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Excellent commercial acumen and analytical capability.
• Quantity Surveying qualification is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Senior Commercial Manager

Facilities Management | Major Public Sector Account

Salary: Up to £100,000 + 15% Bonus + Car Allowance + Private Healthcare

Location: UK Wide / Hybrid

We are partnering with a leading facilities management and outsourcing organisation to recruit a Senior Commercial Manager for one of the UK's largest and most complex FM contracts.

This is a high-profile leadership opportunity on a long-term extremely sizeable public sector account, delivering hard and soft FM services across a substantial national estate.

The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting and enhancing commercial performance, leading a sizeable commercial team, managing contractual risk and opportunity, and ensuring robust governance across a high-volume operational environment.

The Role

As Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial leadership of a major FM contract, ensuring contractual compliance, maximising commercial recovery and supporting operational teams in the successful delivery of services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing commercial performance across a large-scale FM contract
• Leading a commercial team, including direct management of senior commercial professionals
• Managing variations, quotations, compensation events, contractual notices and claims
• Developing and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships
• Managing contract change, risk and opportunity processes
• Supporting mobilisation and transformation activities where required
• Ensuring robust commercial governance and NEC contract compliance

Candidate Requirements

We are keen to speak with experienced commercial professionals who have operated within large-scale Facilities Management or outsourced services environments.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in a Commercial Manager, Senior Commercial Manager, Commercial Lead or similar role
• Strong NEC3 or NEC4 contract management experience
• Facilities Management experience, particularly within Hard FM or Total Facilities Management environments
• Experience managing variations, compensation events, claims and contractual entitlement
• Leadership experience with responsibility for commercial teams
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
• Excellent commercial acumen and analytical capability

A Quantity Surveying qualification is advantageous, although equivalent experience will also be considered.
