Job summary

MBDA UK seeks a senior commercial leader to act as the focal point for commercial and contractual matters, providing strategic leadership and shaping commercial strategies across assigned projects. You will develop teams, collaborate with customers and project teams, and ensure commercial rigour and governance while balancing opportunity and risk.

You will work with senior leaders and stakeholders, travelling to Stevenage as needed to support delivery and growth of MBDA's commercial capabilities.

Qualifications

• Experience of leading commercial teams with a focus on people leadership and capability building.
• Broad commercial experience across bidding, contract management, export control, cost and pricing.
• Defence experience or UK DEFCON contracting knowledge would be valuable.
• Ability to develop and implement commercial strategies that support objectives.
• Strong judgement and ability to communicate commercial implications of complex issues.
• Ability to build relationships and influence a broad range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for MBDA UK's commercial and contractual matters.
• Shape commercial strategies across assigned projects to support delivery and MBDA's objectives.
• Lead commercial teams to build capability and ensure governance across bids and contracts.
• Collaborate with customers and project teams on complex commercial issues and risk management.
• Ensure commercial assurance and authorisation across bids, contracts, and activities.
• Travel to MBDA's Stevenage site as required to support workload and collaboration.
