Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited in Aylesbury seeks a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function across the Buckinghamshire Highways Alliance Partnership. You will oversee the full commercial lifecycle from cost planning and procurement through to contract administration and final accounts.

This role combines strategic commercial leadership with hands-on responsibilities, ensuring NEC contract compliance, governance, risk management, and strong client and supply chain relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial management, quantity surveying, or contract administration.
• Professional membership of RICS, CIOB, ICES or equivalent.
• Experience with local authorities, National Highways or major public-sector clients an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial function across the contract, ensuring forecasting, cost control and financial reporting.
• Provide commercial guidance to project teams and senior management.
• Manage procurement activities and subcontractor relationships.
• Oversee NEC contract processes including Early Warnings, Compensation Events and Payment Applications.
• Prepare commercial and financial reports to senior stakeholders.
