Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK seeks a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial function for the Buckinghamshire Highways Alliance Partnership from our Aylesbury office. You will oversee cost planning, procurement, NEC contract compliance, and financial management across projects, reporting to senior stakeholders and coordinating with delivery teams.

The role requires extensive experience in commercial management, NEC processes, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on risk management and contract

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial management, quantity surveying, or contract administration.
• Professional membership of RICS, CIOB, ICES, or equivalent.
• Experience with local authorities, National Highways, or major public-sector clients is advantageous.
• Experience within a consultancy or alliance delivery environment.
• Familiarity with NEC contract processes and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial function across the contract with forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with objectives and targets.
• Provide commercial guidance to project teams and senior management.
• Administer contracts, manage changes, and support procurement and supplier relationships.
• Ensure NEC compliance, risk management, and auditable contract records.
• Present commercial and financial reports to senior stakeholders.
