Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee highway maintenance and improvement schemes across Buckinghamshire. You will act as the on-site representative, ensuring safe delivery, quality standards, and NEC4 contractual compliance while coordinating with contractors, residents and stakeholders.

The role requires on-site presence across Buckinghamshire, with a focus on active travel schemes, drainage, resurfacing, and safety projects.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising highways maintenance, improvement, or civil engineering projects.
• Knowledge of NEC4 contracts.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and programmes.
• Full UK driving licence and CSCS card required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily highway construction and maintenance activities on-site.
• Monitor contractor performance against programme, quality and safety requirements.
• Ensure works comply with designs, permits, and method statements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits.
• Identify and address construction issues, risks, and non-conformances.
• Verify completed works and support handover processes.
