Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial professional to lead the commercial delivery on a large EPC project in the UK. You will manage revenue, entitlement, and subcontractor performance, while driving the commercial strategy to meet EBIT targets.

The role requires independent leadership, strong negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to manage budgets and risks across civils/construction. UK-based and field-oriented with NEC contract exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Law, or Business Studies, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a similar role with consolidated commercial experience ideally gained within Construction or civils sector, although not essential.
• Proven experience in contract administration including change management.
• Awareness of all relevant corporate and project procedures.
• Flexible to undertake varying work with changing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and presentation.
• Full driving licence.
• Ability to communicate complex principles effectively at all levels within the organization.
• Ability to demonstrate teamwork, respect, integrity, innovation, and a client-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide the Project Manager and delivery teams with proactive commercial support and lead delivery of commercial strategies
• Ensure effective post contract commercial management of the contract, or project in accordance with UI's commercial policies and procedures
• Regular reporting and analysis on project performance
• Develop relationships with key client and supplier personnel and lead UI's commercial interaction for the project
• Bring focus to key execution risks and ensure robust mitigation plans are developed and implemented
• Ensure commercial entitlement is pursued and obtained in accordance with the terms of the contracts
• Ensure that any necessary contractual notices are served in accordance with the terms of each contract
• Develop and implement effective negotiating strategies with respect to contractual matters and issues
