Job summary

Coventry University Group is seeking a Commercial Manager to maximise commercial benefits across the enterprise B2B portfolio while minimising risks. You will lead pricing, risk and compliance and drive value in large strategic bids, with a focus on robust financial submissions and governance.

The successful candidate will bring senior commercial experience, strong leadership and a track record of multi-million-pound projects from bid to delivery, with knowledge of public sector or higher

Qualifications

• Degree-level education or an equivalent professional qualification in finance/business is desirable.
• Experience managing high-value commercial bids and driving organisational change through commercial reporting.
• Knowledge of public sector, higher education, research, or contract law is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maximise commercial benefits across the enterprise B2B portfolio while minimising risks.
• Lead pricing, risk and compliance agenda for all commercial opportunities, especially large bids.
• Negotiate contracts and manage third-party relationships including rates and SLAs.
• Lead post-award change control to protect project targets and surpluses.
