Job summary

University of Bristol is seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Officer to join the Procurement Team. You will manage supplier relationships, oversee contract lifecycles, and provide commercial input to inform decision making, ensuring compliance and value for money across facilities and buildings.

Reporting to the Commercial Contracts Manager, you will collaborate across Campus Services and the Procurement Team, lead supplier review meetings, and support contract enhancements for

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management within procurement or related discipline.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills with stakeholders at multiple levels.
• Ability to assess risks and drive value for money across contracts.

Responsibilities

• Own contract lifecycle activities including mobilisation and onboarding suppliers.
• Create and monitor contract management plans and scorecards.
• Lead supplier review meetings and manage contract extensions, exits and variations.
• Provide commercial expertise to stakeholders to drive value and ensure performance against KPIs.
• Coordinate change negotiations and ensure contract terms are kept up-to-date.
