Job summary

Drax Group in Ipswich is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst to support the analysis and reporting that drive decisions across non-commodity costs and portfolio management.

You will work closely with Forecasting, Modelling and Hedging, deliver timely bespoke analyses for tenders and new product initiatives, and build strong relationships with Commercial, Renewables and Finance teams to influence strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in a numerate discipline or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to handle large data sets.
• Understanding of wholesale electricity market and non-commodity costs.
• Proactive, independent worker with initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to explain complex info.
• Experience with data modelling and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of analysis and reporting for non-commodity costs.
• Develop MI for clear insights to aid decision-making.
• Collaborate with Forecasting, Modelling and Hedging to ensure accurate hedging.
• Provide analytical support and build relationships with commercial, renewables, and finance teams.
• Deliver bespoke analysis for tenders, new product development, and strategic initiatives.
• Ensure high-quality input data for portfolio modelling.
• Present findings in meetings and forums.
