Aboutthe role:
- Supportthe development and maintenance of effective analysis and reporting toenable the successful management and recovery of Non-Commodity Costs fromcustomers.
- Developand maintain Management Information (MI) to provide clear insights andsupport effective business decision-making.
- Workclosely with the Forecasting, Modelling and Hedging teams to streamlineand enhance portfolio management, ensuring accurate hedging.
- Provideanalytical support and build strong relationships between the CommercialTeam and key business areas, including Renewables, Strategic Sales andFinance.
- Developand maintain appropriate reporting and communication for Commercial andwider business stakeholders, presenting key findings and results atrelevant meetings and forums.
- Supportthe resolution of complex business challenges across the Forecasting,Commercial and wider business teams, including Renewables, Strategic Salesand Finance.
- Collaboratewith internal teams to ensure high-quality, accurate input data andsupport effective financial and portfolio modelling.
- Providedetailed analysis, insight and recommendations to senior management tosupport informed business decisions.
- Deliverbespoke and time-critical analysis to support key commercial activities,including tenders, new product development and other strategicinitiatives.
Whowe’re looking for:
Tobe successful in this role you’ll ideally have…
- Agood honours degree in a numerate discipline, or equivalent relevantexperience.
- Astrong understanding of the wholesale electricity market, industryfundamentals and non-commodity costs.
- Stronganalytical skills, with the ability to work confidently with large volumesof data from multiple sources.
- Theability to identify and interpret patterns and trends in data andtranslate these into meaningful business insights.
- StrongIT skills, including advanced Excel and experience using coding languagessuch as SQL or Python would be desirable.
- Aproactive, self-motivated approach, with the ability to work independentlyand take ownership of tasks.
- Theability to understand new and complex problems, identify requirements anduse your knowledge and initiative to develop appropriate analytical modelsand reporting solutions.
- Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify andclearly explain complex information to a range of audiences.
- Strongrelationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectivelyand build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
