Octopus Energy Group is seeking a senior data leader to head the UK data commercial team. You will drive strategic analytics, guide pricing operations, and deliver actionable insights to senior leadership across Commercial, Sales, Marketing and Energy Markets.

You will combine hands-on data work with team leadership, influencing stakeholders and shaping global data strategy. The role offers autonomy and a fast-paced, innovative environment within a leading UK energy retailer.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a high-performing data team.
• Hands-on with SQL and Python in data platforms.
• Ability to translate insights for senior leadership.
• Strong commercial acumen in pricing, margin optimization, and growth analytics.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead UK data commercial team, setting priorities and coordinating work.
• Provide strategic analytics to inform UK and global business decisions.
• Manage pricing operations and ensure competitive deals within regulatory constraints.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and dashboards to reveal drivers of performance.
• Coordinate data teams across Octopus’ global operations.
