Job Title: Interim Commercial Accountant

Robert Half is recruiting an Interim Commercial Accountant for our client in Hertfordshire, initially for a period of 6 months.

The role requires proficient experience in both core finance and IT systems, with the following key responsibilities:

1. Create new financial models, improve existing models, and enhance financial close processes to provide high-quality financial information for decision-making.
2. Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills for managing model reconciliations, querying, aggregating, validating, and summarizing data accurately.
3. Develop and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics.
4. Provide regular reports to key decision-makers to facilitate data-driven decisions.
5. Support business planning through timely financial analysis, accurate financial modeling, and scenario planning.
6. Manage financial year-end rollover activities, ensuring proper archiving and rollover of financial models.
7. Assist the finance team with data cleansing and migration during system implementations.
8. Contribute to ad hoc financial projects as part of the overall finance function.
9. Experience in model and report writing within a management reporting system is desirable.

This position is inside IR35, with hybrid remote working options available.
