Job summary

Together, based in Cheadle, Cheshire, UK, is seeking a Collections Operations Manager to lead the end-to-end customer journey and operational performance of the collections function. You will manage customers in financial difficulty while balancing outcomes, compliance and commercial performance.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading commercial collections and recoveries within financial services.
• Proven strategic leadership of large operational teams.
• Experience leading managers, relationship managers, collections representatives or operational specialists in a performance-led environment.
• Strong commercial judgement balancing customer circumstances, affordability, asset position and risk.
• Understanding of secured lending, credit risk controls and in-life portfolio management.
• Experience using operational MI, portfolio insight and performance data to diagnose issues and improve outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management across Credit Risk, Legal, Asset Management, Finance and third-party suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across the full commercial collections and recoveries lifecycle from pre-arrears to exit routes.
• Create end-to-end accountability for collections and recoveries so teams understand the customer journey.
• Promote fair, sustainable outcomes through appropriate forbearance solutions.
• Oversee high-volume collections activity with risk-based segmentation.
• Be the escalation point for complex commercial cases and determine strategies.
• Maintain governance, controls and clear decisioning records across activity.
